Job Description
Fiber Splicer We are seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to splice, test, troubleshoot, and maintain aerial and underground fiber optic networks. Responsibilities Perform fusion splicing on single-mode and multi-mode fiber. Read fiber prints, splice diagrams, and network documentation. Troubleshoot outages and repair damaged fiber cable. Test and document fiber using OTDRs and power meters. Work safely in manholes, handholes, aerial lifts, and construction zones. Maintain accurate job records and communicate with supervisors and customers. Requirements 2+ years of fiber optic splicing experience preferred. Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction. Experience with OTDR testing, power meters, and fiber documentation. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work overtime, weekends, and emergency restoration as needed. Ability to lift equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Bucket truck and safety procedure experience is a plus.
