Full Job Description Position:
Calibration Technician Job Summary:
As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of various measurement and testing equipment used in manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial settings. You will perform calibration procedures according to established standards and protocols to maintain the integrity of measurement systems and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform calibration of measurement and testing equipment such as pressure gauges, temperatures probes, humidity, air and water flow instruments. Follow established procedures and protocols to conduct calibrations in accordance with national and international standards (e.g., ISO 17025, NIST). Record calibration data accurately and maintain detailed calibration records and documentation. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions or inaccuracies during calibration processes. Perform adjustments, repairs, or component replacements as necessary to correct calibration deviations and ensure equipment accuracy. Maintain calibration schedules and prioritize calibration activities based on equipment usage, criticality, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to address calibration-related issues and ensure equipment performance meets operational needs. Assist in the development and improvement of calibration procedures, methods, and documentation. Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to calibration practices and instrumentation technology. Adhere to safety protocols and practices while performing calibration activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications:
As a Calibration Technician you should possess: Military (PMEL or TMDE) training & experience OR technical Associate's degree OR equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years of commercial OR military calibration laboratory experience Experienced in calibrating test and measurement equipment in the following disciplines:
  • Flow
  • Temperature
  • Pressure
  • Humidity
  • Electronics
  • Automation Experience in commercial calibration, preferred.
Experience working within a 17025 quality system, preferred.
Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
