Job Description

  • Job Title: Calibration Technician
  • SHIFT:
  • MondayFriday shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m
  • Job Description
  • The Calibration Technician performs precise calibrations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on production, inspection, and testing equipment to ensure reliable, accurate performance and compliance with quality standards.

This role supports automated manufacturing and process control systems, helps minimize equipment downtime, and maintains thorough documentation for audits and quality assurance.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform calibrations on production, inspection, and testing equipment in accordance with established procedures, standards, and schedules.

+ Conduct instrument calibration on a variety of devices, including calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and other test equipment.

+ Carry out preventative maintenance on instrumentation and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unplanned downtime.

+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair instrumentation, control systems, sensors, transducers, analyzers, and related equipment.

+ Install, maintain, and improve process control systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and automated manufacturing systems.

+ Set up machines and associated instrumentation to support production and testing activities.

+ Identify and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and support production goals.

+ Verify equipment performance through testing and validation procedures to confirm accuracy and reliability.

+ Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, and documentation to ensure compliance with ISO standards, Z540 requirements, and internal quality audits.

+ Follow established metrology and instrumentation calibration practices to maintain consistency and traceability of measurements.

+ Collaborate with production and quality teams to communicate equipment status and recommend improvements to processes and systems.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $21.

63 - $27.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
