Job Description Position Summary:
The Commercial Dining Equipment Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial kitchen, food preparation, sanitation, and refrigeration equipment across Housing & Dining Services facilities. The role requires advanced knowledge of circuitry, electronics, and mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all equipment. The position performs scheduled and preventive maintenance, utilizes specialized diagnostic tools, and provides subject-matter guidance to team members. This work directly supports HDS's mission of reliable, high-quality dining operations and contributes to safe, functional, and compliant service environments for students and staff.Full Consideration Date:

Diagnose, analyze, and repair complex circuit boards, electrical systems, and machine specific software for a wide variety of commercial kitchen and dining equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair on food preparation equipment such as ovens, broilers, steamers, kettles, tilt skillets, and temperature- and pressure controlled systems.
Conditions of Employment:

Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum Required Degree :
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum Years of Experience and/orSkills :
Four years of experience in an occupation related to the assigned work. Universal EPA Certification.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong technical expertise in electrical and electro-mechanical systems, including troubleshooting high- and low-voltage AC/DC circuits and interpreting complex electrical schematics.
