Position Summary Vescent Technologies seeks a full-time Electronics Technician to build, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuit boards, subassemblies, and finished products supporting cutting-edge applications including quantum computing hardware, optical atomic clocks, and advanced laboratory systems. We are looking for someone with excellent hands-on skills, exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and enthusiasm to learn. This full-time, on-site role offers significant opportunities for skill development and professional growth and reports to the Production Manager. Responsibilities- Populate circuit boards, solder components, and assemble electronic products per written instructions
- Perform functional testing, calibration, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of assembled electronic modules
- Document yields and performance test results
- Collaborate with Engineering, Prototyping, and QC staff to further refine processes and work instructions
- Work autonomously in an ESD sensitive environment Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and either 2+ years of electronics experience, quantum technician training, Associate's degree, or relevant technical certificate
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
- Experience soldering and replacing through-hole and surface mount components
- Comfort reading electronic schematics and wiring diagrams
- Excellent dexterity, fine motor skills, spatial awareness, and comfort using microscopes
- Commitment to workplace safety practices
- Strong communication and priority management skills to work with team members and supervisors
- Organizational skills to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment Desirable Additional Skills
- Experience with fine-pitch SMD rework
- IPC Soldering Certification
- Working knowledge of digital and analog circuitry, optics, and control theory
- Demonstrated familiarity of the safe operation of light fabrication equipment (dremel, belt sander, laser cutter, etc) Benefits
