Job Summary
Site-based role responsible for performing calibration, verification, and maintenance of measurement and test equipment in accordance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality procedures. This role supports the effectiveness of the Quality Management System by ensuring equipment accuracy, traceability, and compliance. The technician performs hands-on calibration activities across a broad range of mechanical, dimensional, temperature, pressure, and electrical instruments. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting production, quality, and engineering needs.
Job Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled calibrations of inspection, measuring, and test equipment in accordance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
Manage the calibration program for measuring and test equipment (M&TE), ensuring all tools are calibrated within assigned intervals.
Calibrate and verify a wide range of equipment, including:
Weight scales
Surface plates
Ovens
Thermocouples
Pressure gages
Electrical instruments (e.g., Fluke meters)
Ensure calibration records, results, and traceability documentation are accurate, complete, and properly maintained within the calibration management system.
Identify out-of-tolerance conditions, support investigations, and assist with corrective actions as required.
Schedule, coordinate, and track internal and external calibrations.
Maintain calibration standards, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized, and compliant condition.

Job Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school education preferred
Essential:
MUST BE A U.S
Citizen
Full working knowledge and understanding of industry calibration standards and requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025 principles, AS9100 measurement control expectations)
Aerospace blueprint/drawing and specifications interpretation is required.
Demonstrated ability to perform calibration of mechanical, dimensional, temperature, pressure, and electrical measurement equipment
Ability to perform hand gage calibration including calipers, micrometers, indicators, surface plates, ovens, thermocouples and related tools
Proficiency with calibration records, data entry, and calibration management systems
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow written procedures
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform hands-on calibration work in a manufacturing environment
Corrected 20/20 vision
Preferred:
Previous on-site or laboratory calibration experience in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment
Experience working to ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI
Z540, or equivalent calibration standards
Familiarity with Fluke electrical calibration equipment and temperature measurement systems
Experience supporting audits related to calibration and measurement control
Experience in using GageTrak or other software to control gages
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements
Strong problem-solving skills to assess out-of-tolerance conditions and support root cause analysis
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and calibration software systems
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams
