We are rapidly growing and looking for motivated team members who want to grow with us. Position Overview We are seeking an Electronics Restoration Technician with strong technical and problem-solving skills to join our team. This role offers a wide variety of responsibilities between working in our shop and traveling to customer locations. Training will be provided on all Prism processes and restoration procedures. Cross-training opportunities are available in electronics, art, textiles, and document restoration, with primary focus in the electronics/electrical division. This is a hands-on role for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with a wide range of electronics and appliances. Shop Responsibilities Test and validate the functionality of appliances, computers, TVs, home theater systems, and household electronics Evaluate electronics to determine repair vs. replacement recommendations Clean, restore, and perform final testing to ensure items are fully operational Carefully disassemble and reassemble electronics and appliances Package and prepare items for safe return to customers On-Site Responsibilities Inventory, disconnect, label, and transport electronics from customer locations Map and document wiring/connections to ensure accurate reinstallation Reconnect and test electronics in customers' homes or businesses Drive company vehicles including box trucks and work vans Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service during stressful situations Support and assist newer team members as the company grows What We're Looking For 2+ years of technical, repair, handyman, appliance, or electronics experience preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable taking apart and reassembling electronics and appliances Broad technical knowledge across multiple types of electronics Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer service oriented with a professional appearance High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50+ pounds, including stairs Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is highly valued: Cell phone or laptop repair PC building and troubleshooting Home theater setup and installation Appliance troubleshooting and testing TV and audio equipment repair Computer systems setup and networking Restoration industry experience Why Join Prism Specialties?
