Job Description

Foxtronics is seeking a skilled Rework Technician (BGA/LGA) to support electronics manufacturing operations through the repair, rework, and modification of complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This position requires hands-on experience with BGA/LGA component removal, replacement in a fast-paced EMS environment. Responsibilities Perform rework and repair per
IPC 7711
(rework of electronic assemblies)
IPC 7721
(repair and modification of electronic assemblies) workmanship criteria for SMT and Through Hole PCBAs. Remove and replace BGA, LGA, QFN, and fine-pitch components Operate BGA rework stations, soldering equipment, hot air tools, and microscopes Inspection of BGA/LGA rework using x-ray equipment. Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions Follow ESD, workmanship, and quality standards throughout the repair process Support engineering changes (ECOs), modifications, and corrective actions Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with customer and IPC quality standards Maintain accurate documentation and repair records Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis as needed Qualifications 3+ years of electronics rework/repair experience in an EMS manufacturing environment Experience with BGA/LGA rework Experience with x-ray inspection Strong soldering and de-soldering skills for SMT components Ability to work under microscope for extended periods Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and
IPC-7711/7721
standards preferred Ability to read technical documentation and assembly drawings Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Good communication and teamwork skills
