Job Title:
Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Maintenance Technician (Temporary) Job Description This role serves as a Senior maintenance technician responsible for leading service technicians in the installation, repair, and optimization of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by diagnosing complex issues, designing practical solutions, and managing projects that keep high-speed, robotics-driven material handling systems running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Lead and mentor service technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. Support the Operations Maintenance team in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining material handling equipment such as automated conveyor systems and associated pneumatic systems throughout the facility. Install, configure, and replace industrial control components including photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and maintain safe, efficient operations. Complete assigned preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule and document all work performed in accordance with established procedures. Provide detailed feedback on preventive maintenance programs and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, safety, and equipment performance. Interpret and work from blueprints and electrical schematics to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Apply knowledge of electrical and electronic principles to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on material handling equipment and automated conveyor systems and controls. Ensure all work complies with material handling equipment safety standards, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines, and site safety procedures. Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work orders, record maintenance activities, and track parts usage. Use Microsoft Office applications to document findings, prepare reports, and communicate maintenance-related information. Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support continuous operations as needed. Consistently meet performance expectations that are measured through data and metrics while maintaining high-quality work standards. Essential Skills Minimum 4+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventive maintenance procedures in an industrial or automated environment. Minimum 4+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls. Minimum 4+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics. Minimum 4+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic principles in an industrial setting. Minimum 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment systems. Minimum 4+ years of experience working with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety regulations. Minimum 3+ years of experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Hands-on experience with automated conveyor systems and related industrial equipment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to different shifts as required. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Castle, DE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.65 - $70.24/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
