Job Description

About the Role As an Industrial Automation Technician, you will serve as a key technical expert responsible for the reliability and performance of our advanced manufacturing control systems. You will play a vital role in optimizing production efficiency by maintaining, programming, and troubleshooting complex automated equipment and electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex issues within automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo-driven motion controls to minimize downtime. Enhance production output by programming and refining control logic across various platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens. Execute proactive maintenance strategies to ensure the long-term health and reliability of critical electrical and pneumatic control systems. Interpret and update intricate electrical schematics and control documentation to maintain accurate system configuration. Lead technical efforts in the installation and commissioning of new automation projects and equipment upgrades. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions. Ensure all control system activities adhere to rigorous safety standards, electrical codes, and internal compliance protocols. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field. 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting PLC-based systems in an industrial setting. Proficiency in programming and debugging major PLC platforms like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi. Strong grasp of electrical theory, including power distribution, control panels, and safety circuits. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams. Preferred Skills Experience with industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, or Modbus. Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial instrumentation. Proficiency in utilizing CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation. Working knowledge of OSHA and
NFPA 70E
electrical safety standards.
