Job Description

Performs hands-on technical tasks related to testing advanced electronics assemblies for space and defense applications. This position supports testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation by performing development tests, system integration, formal acceptance tests, and environmental testing. Strong communication skills, discipline, and proactiveness are essential. This role includes dynamic, thermal, and functional testing, along with setting up, programming, and operating specialized test equipment to perform Acceptance Test Procedures. The position also requires lifting and handling fixtures, as well as handling delicate circuit card assemblies. Candidates must be able to maintain detailed test logs, follow detailed test procedures accurately, and provide daily verbal and written shift pass-down information. Daily responsibilities also include cleanliness, standardization, safety, equipment/lab maintenance, and operating system tasks. A commitment to continuous improvement is expected. This role involves daily interaction with test technicians and engineers, making communication and teamwork skills extremely important.
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree, technical degree, or equivalent military training/experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Prior military experience (USAF or USN) is a plus. Experience with Guidance and Navigation Electronics systems is a plus. Environmental test experience is a plus. Experience with General Purpose Test Equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, DMMs, and logic analyzers. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise step-by-step procedures. Ability and flexibility to work different shifts, flex schedules, alternate work weeks, overtime, and weekends as business needs require. Minimum of 4 years of experience in an electronics-related discipline. Ability to read schematics, follow procedures, and apply technical and computer knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Capable of creating clear and accurate technical documentation, including event records, engineering orders, and data book entries.
