Job Summary The Mechanical Calibration Technician will be responsible for calibrating and repairing physical, mechanical, and dimensional measuring and test equipment at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The technician will ensure the accuracy and precision of the measurements taken using this equipment. This is a represented staff position with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Perform regular calibration and maintenance of measurement and testing equipment.
• Follow documented procedures to calibrate, adjust, and repair physical, mechanical, and dimensional measuring, and test equipment.
• Assist in developing and validating new measurement methods, calibration procedures, and measurement uncertainty budgets.
• Work independently with little supervision.
• Make recommendations to improve work quality, efficiencies, and productivity.
• Adhere to OSHA, NASA, and Aetos safety requirements.
• Assist in training others, as requested.
• Performs related duties as required.
