Job Description

United Measurement Technologies (UMT) is a full-service calibration laboratory with two locations in Florida—Miami and Cocoa. We provide in-laboratory and onsite calibration and repair services for test and measurement equipment, serving customers throughout the United States and internationally. Our quality management system is accredited to
ISO/IEC 17025
2017 and compliant with
ANSI/NCSL Z540.3
. We are seeking a full-time Calibration Technician with a strong understanding of metrology principles and a minimum of two years of relevant calibration experience.
Calibration Technician Responsibilities:
Perform calibration, adjustment, testing, and verification of precision test and measurement equipment. Work across multiple measurement disciplines, including but not limited to pressure, dimensional, mass, force, temperature, and humidity . Troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs when applicable. Accurately complete calibration records, service documentation, and other required technical documentation. Follow established calibration procedures, quality requirements, and applicable standards. Maintain proper care and control of calibration standards and customer equipment. Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers. Support both in-laboratory and onsite calibration activities as required. Maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting expected turnaround times.
Requirements:
Minimum of two years of experience in calibration, metrology, or a similar technical position. Working knowledge of metrology concepts and calibration practices. Experience working within a quality management system such as ISO/IEC 17025 or
ISO 9001
. Basic computer skills and ability to work with calibration management software and electronic documentation. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs as required. Valid U.S. driver's license. Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations for onsite calibration work.
