Valid Driver's License with clean driving record ( MVR check required ) Ability to pass drug screening Strong understanding of backflow assemblies (RPZ, PVB, etc.) Ability to diagnose, repair, and rebuild backflow preventers Familiarity with local codes and compliance requirements Ability to work outdoors in South Florida conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work as needed Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with municipalities and compliance reporting Experience with fire line backflows and large-diameter assemblies Knowledge of Florida Administrative Code & local cross-connection control programs Strong communication and customer service skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Ability to work independently and manage daily routes

Job Description:

Line Tec, Inc. is seeking a Certified Backflow Tester & Repair Technician to join our team and perform testing, maintenance, and repair of backflow prevention assemblies throughout South Florida. Candidates will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local and state regulations while delivering reliable, high-quality service to our clients. This position requires both technical knowledge and field experience , including testing, diagnosing failures, and repairing backflow devices such as RPZ, DC, and PVB assemblies. Technicians will work independently in the field while also collaborating with office staff and management to ensure timely service, accurate reporting, and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a thorough understanding of backflow systems and cross-connection control practices, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. Technicians will report directly to management and coordinate regularly with the office team for scheduling, compliance tracking, and submission of test reports. Job Responsibilities:

As a Certified Backflow Tester & Repair Technician , you will be responsible for: Performing annual backflow testing and certification Diagnosing failures and performing repairs/rebuilds Ensuring compliance with local and state regulations Completing and submitting test reports and documentation Communicating with customers, HOAs, and municipalities Scheduling follow-ups and maintaining service records Recommending repairs or replacements when needed You will operate both independently and as part of a team, representing Line Tec in the field with professionalism and technical expertise.
