We are an old shop with a new name. American Auto Repair right in Lakeland. I'm looking for someone with strong electrical diagnostics. Programming is a plus. Ability to do almost all repairs on virtually on mainly American and Japanese We do not rebuild engines or transmission. We will do cylinder heads and valve work (at machine shop) but stay away from engine rebuild if there is a problem with the crankshaft or pistons. I need an ALLSTAR that will help push my shop forward as the Shop foreman but also know how to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and be able to do timing chains, cylinder heads etc. Be a part of the BUZZ in town we have a great reputation and are expanding at a rapid rate. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Technician to join our team. As a Master Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive repair and maintenance tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars and has a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Duties
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues or safety concerns
  • Repair and replace various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
  • Use power tools and hand tools to assemble, disassemble, and align vehicle parts
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs have been completed
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
  • Familiarity with and brake repair procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
