Job Description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Position Overview & Responsibilities The Electronics Technician Level I utilizes tools, fixtures, and work instructions to support the repair of low-complexity electronic modules, X-ray tanks and detectors, and/or metal detector repair and new-build production. Follow detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures. Diagnose, refurbish, and repair product inspection equipment in accordance with risk assessments and safe mechanical and electrical guidelines. Report problems related to quality, processes, equipment, and materials to the Repair Supervisor and/or Repair Manager. Document work performed by completing quality checklists. Work with supervisors to understand process capabilities and develop ideas that reduce costs and improve quality. Provide basic hands-on job-function training to coworkers as needed. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area to support manufacturing operations. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies appropriately to accomplish job responsibilities. Maintain a positive work environment by communicating and performing in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients coworkers and management. Accurately track and record time spent on projects. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform entry-level SAP transactions. Assist higher-level technicians as needed and develop skills for advancement. Maintain a basic understanding of SAP processes and transactions related to production orders. Tune and balance detectors received for repair, including Round, V3, and V4 systems, and support new builds under supervision. Calibrate equipment to meet factory standards. Set up metal detectors for testing after completion and verify performance. Replace electronic components that do not meet standard specifications. What You Need to Succeed What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or equivalent. 0-2 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair of industrial equipment. Basic soldering skills Ability to read schematics and technical drawings. Experience using electronic test equipment. Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude. Basic electronic/electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. Ability to follow detailed work instructions, processes and procedures. Quality-focused and safety-aware. Entry-level problem-solving skills. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Self-starter with good attention to detail. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Basic familiarity with SAP is preferred. Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, push and pull for extended periods and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
