IRRIGATION MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SPECIALIST

Duties Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Conduct repairs on irrigation equipment, including valves, controllers, pumps, and sprinkler heads, utilizing hand tools and power tools. Assist with the installation of new irrigation systems, including excavation, system setup, and integration of automated irrigation controls. Diagnose electrical issues within irrigation systems through electrical diagnostics to identify faults quickly and accurately. Support landscaping activities by coordinating irrigation needs with soil science principles and lawn care best practices. Manage system troubleshooting efforts to resolve issues promptly, minimizing landscape damage or water waste. Collaborate with clients to provide expert guidance on irrigation management, system upgrades, and maintenance schedules. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in irrigation equipment repair and maintenance. Hands-on experience with new irrigation system installation projects from excavation to system testing. Familiarity with automated irrigation control systems and their programming for efficient water management. Strong electrical diagnostics skills to troubleshoot wiring issues or controller malfunctions. Knowledge of landscaping principles, soil science, and lawn care practices related to irrigation needs. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavation equipment safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Preferred qualifications include experience in irrigation management, soil science understanding, electrical diagnostics expertise, and familiarity with irrigation system troubleshooting projects.
