In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic cables and telecommunications infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure reliable connectivity for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Duties Must have own truck, van or suv Must have valid drivers license Install and troubleshoot fiber optic cables, ensuring precise splicing and proper cabling techniques. Use hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, cable cutters, and power tools to complete installations efficiently. Conduct equipment testing using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to verify network integrity. Perform telecommunications network cable installation in residential and commercial settings, including satellite dish setup. Utilize ladders safely for outdoor work at various heights while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of installation activities, test results, and service reports for quality assurance. Provide excellent customer service by explaining installation procedures and addressing client questions professionally. Experience Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or in a similar field service role. Hands-on knowledge of network installation, fiber splicing, Ethernet wiring, telephony systems, and electrical work. Familiarity with Cisco routers and basic computer networking concepts is highly desirable. Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment in outdoor environments. Prior work involving residential telecommunications installation or satellite dish setup is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles safely is required.
