Golf Course Mechanic / Equipment Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Golf Course Mechanic / Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, and power tools. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall excellence of our golf course operations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on golf course machinery such as mowers, greens rollers, aerators, utility vehicles and Reel grinding of greens, tees and fairway mowers. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals; execute repairs on diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic components, and mechanical parts. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed service records for all equipment repairs and maintenance activities. Troubleshoot electrical systems and wiring issues; repair generators and other auxiliary power sources as needed. Collaborate with vendors or dealerships for specialized repairs or parts procurement; stay updated on manufacturer specifications like Toro, John Deere, Cushman, Kubota and other turf equipment brands. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and operational guidelines to promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience as an Golf course, automotive or heavy equipment service technician; highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, welding, soldering, and equipment repair. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for complex machinery. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance devices. Experience working with the Turf Industry machinery brands is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.
