This role involves performing complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems and equipment across various operational environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in field service, equipment repair, and computer hardware, with a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of low voltage systems.   • Job Description Summary Experienced senior-level electronics technician responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems, components, and equipment. Provides technical expertise, mentors junior technicians, and ensures all work meets quality, safety, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Technical Diagnostics & Repair
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on analog, digital, and RF electronic systems using schematics, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct component-level repairs, including soldering, rework, and replacement of integrated circuits and electronic assemblies.
  • Calibrate, test, and validate electronic equipment to ensure compliance with operational specifications. Systems Maintenance & Support
  • Maintain, update, and repair complex electronic devices, test stands, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Document repairs, test results, and maintenance actions following industry and company standards. Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Follow RMA, ESD, IPC, and safety standards in all repair and production environments.
  • Conduct functional testing and quality verification for production units and fielded equipment.
  • Support root-cause analysis for recurring failures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Documentation
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Update technical logs, service reports, and work instructions.
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve product design and reliability. Leadership & Collaboration
  • Mentor and train junior technicians on troubleshooting techniques, equipment use, and repair processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and quality departments to resolve technical issues.
  • Support engineering development testing and provide technical input during product revisions. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics repair, testing, or manufacturing support (or equivalent military experience).
  • Strong understanding of analog/digital electronics, PCB-level diagnostics, and component identification.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, and other test equipment.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, block diagrams, and wiring instructions.
  • Hands-on soldering and rework experience (IPC certifications preferred).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Preferred
  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with RF systems, PLCs, fiber optics, or automated test equipment.
  • Military electronics background (Navy AT, Army 94-series, Air Force avionics, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or ISO quality practices.
