This position is responsible for PLC programming, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive equipment reliability, production efficiency, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rockwell Automation software, electrical controls, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems. Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to minimize downtime. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated equipment. Modify PLC programs and HMI interfaces to support operational improvements and process optimization. Install, configure, and maintain control systems, VFDs, HMIs, sensors, and related automation equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&ID drawings. Support equipment upgrades, system improvements, and new automation projects. Calibrate, test, and validate equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Work closely with production and maintenance teams to quickly resolve equipment issues. Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and program backups. Train team members on basic troubleshooting and automation best practices. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, controls, or automation within a manufacturing environment. Experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC systems. Proficiency with RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, or related Rockwell Automation software. Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills. Experience working with HMIs, VFDs, control panels, and industrial communication networks. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects preferred. Rockwell Maintainer Certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and support a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
