Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instrumentation/Electrician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical and instrumentation systems within our production environment. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of complex machinery and control systems, supporting our commitment to quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, vision inspection systems, and distributed control systems (DCS), while contributing to a safe and productive workplace. Responsibilities Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation devices such as sensors, calibration equipment, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate process control. Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools; perform repairs on low voltage and high voltage systems. Maintain and repair industrial electrical systems including motor controls, relays, circuit breakers, and wiring in accordance with safety standards. Program, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to support manufacturing automation processes. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and AutoCAD files for installation or repair tasks. Conduct field service activities on-site at manufacturing facilities or customer locations to resolve instrumentation or electrical issues promptly. Perform calibration of sensors and instrumentation equipment to meet quality standards; utilize vision inspection systems for quality assurance checks. Support maintenance activities by utilizing mechanical knowledge alongside electrical expertise; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing operations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols when working with high voltage systems or in environments involving CNC machinery or military-grade equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex problems involving hydraulics, mechanical components, or automation controls like Calypso software. Experience Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong background in electrical maintenance within manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience working with hydraulics, sensors, vision inspection systems, and calibration procedures. Familiarity with industrial automation tools such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machines, and distributed control systems (DCS). Knowledge of schematics reading using AutoCAD or similar software; ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Experience working with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems safely and effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial maintenance tasks; ability to work on complex machinery involving mechanical components. Background in military or aerospace industries is a plus due to the emphasis on precision and safety standards. Excellent customer service skills when providing field service support or working directly with clients or internal teams.
