We provide a complete array of railcar maintenance services. We welcome your business leadership and people leadership and drive to excellence. Join our team today and be a part of Delivering Goods for the Good of All. The Cost Estimating Technician is responsible for conducting in-bound and in-process inspections of railcars. This individual collects records and documentation pertaining to repairs in accordance with AAR regulations and TrinityRail standards.
What You'll Do:
  • Conduct in-bound inspections of railcars to determine and monitor repairs
  • Participate in in-bound assessments of railcar condition and their ability to meet compliance standards
  • Collect records and documentation pertaining to repairs to include invoices, AAR billing repair cards, and testing documentation.
  • Review shop instructions for general knowledge of scope of work and maintenance instruction
  • Be present and available for work
  • Additional duties as assigned
What You'll Need:
  • High school education (or equivalent) required
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Organization skills and attention to detail
  • Technical aptitude required
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 (M365)
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Multitasking skills
  • Rail experience preferred
  • Effective writing skills
