Full Job Description Description:

We are seeking an individual who enjoys working with others, a team player, hardworking, and has a desire to improve our Farm & Golf Course Operations. The individual must be a self-starter, able to work independently, productive, and focused on producing quality work results. This position mostly consists of Golf Course Equipment repair/preventative maintenance. Ability to accurately keep repair records, and part inventories is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical defects or failures in various golf course & Farm maintenance equipment, including diesel and gasoline powered vehicles, mowers, rollers, sprayers and other mechanical equipment used in grounds maintenance Prioritize equipment repairs based on the current needs to maintain the golf courses and schedule routine maintenance around necessary golf maintenance operations Maintain a preventative equipment maintenance program within budget on all equipment Maintain accurate records of all equipment repairs and services, to include the cost of repairs and preventative maintenance Spot check the equipment as it is in use on the golf courses to assess the quality of cut and performance and make emergency repairs in the field as necessary Instruct and / or train the turf maintenance staff on the preventative maintenance, proper cleaning and safe operation of all equipment. Ensure quality and cleanliness standards are being adhered to, including but not limited to; employee hygiene and uniforms, equipment storage areas, shop areas, chemical and fertilizer storage areas, wash areas, restrooms and break areas

Requirements:

Candidates should have: A working knowledge of Mechanics A working knowledge of the theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment The ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine the appropriate steps to perform repairs The ability to schedule routine maintenance and be able to maintain equipment within the operating budget The ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while performing equipment repairs The ability to communicate effectively and maintain appropriate records

Experience Requirements:

Prefer individuals with small engine, automobile engine, or diesel engine mechanic experience. Engine Electrical system troubleshooting would be helpful.

Special Requirements:

Valid Driver's license Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs Hardworking and dedicated personality Team player.
