Pay :

Starting at $20 an hour, up to $30 (Based on experience) Contract to Hire Position Overview We are seeking a motivated ISP Fiber Splicing Technician to support ISP network deployment and maintenance projects throughout the Greater Atlanta area. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in fiber optics and telecommunications. The technician will travel site-to-site performing basic fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting activities while working alongside experienced team members. This position requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in both day and night shift environments. Key ResponsibilitiesFiber Splicing & Testing Assist with fiber optic cable splicing (fusion and mechanical) in ISP network environments Prepare and splice fiber in aerial, underground, and indoor applications Perform basic fiber testing using OTDR, power meters, and light sources Interpret test results and escalate issues as needed Field Operations Travel to multiple job sites across the Greater Atlanta area daily Support installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks Assist with cable prep, routing, labeling, and documentation Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site Safety & Compliance Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines Utilize proper PPE and adhere to safe work practices Participate in safety meetings and training Documentation & Communication Accurately document work completed, test results, and field notes Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and project managers Support closeout documentation and reporting QualificationsRequired 0-5 years of experience in fiber optics, telecommunications, or construction (or strong interest in the field) Valid driver's license with clean driving record Willingness to travel locally throughout the Greater Atlanta area daily Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Basic knowledge of fiber optic concepts and splicing techniques Familiarity with OTDR testing and fiber troubleshooting Experience working in ISP, OSP, or low-voltage environments OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain) Work Environment Field-based role with daily travel between job sites Combination of outdoor and indoor work environments May include work in handholes, cabinets, huts, and data center environments Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical labor Broadstaff, LLC., provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected classification protected by federal, state or local laws.
