Jefferson, Georgia Area Company Description This is a tech-owned hybrid repair and diagnostic facility specializing in the electronics that keep manufacturing operations running. The company operates in both the United States and Mexico, enabling fast response times, reduced logistics delays, and close support for plants and production teams across borders. Company field diagnostic teams troubleshoot complex industrial systems such as VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, robotics electronics, servo systems, and control networks directly on the plant floor. The company also invests in workforce development, mentoring future engineers and strengthening existing teams while delivering deep-level servo motor repair and recovery services. Role Description The Electronic Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Jefferson, Georgia Area, supporting diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of industrial electronic equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting electronics such as servo motors, drives, VFDs, PLC modules, HMIs, robotics electronics, power supplies, controllers, and circuit boards. The technician will perform component-level repairs, including soldering and rework, replace or upgrade parts to OEM specifications, and verify performance through functional and safety testing. The role involves documenting findings, repair actions, and test results, collaborating with engineers and senior technicians, and following established quality, safety, and EHS procedures. The Electronic Technician may occasionally support on-site diagnostic work at customer facilities and assist in mentoring junior team members or trainees. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Electronics Technology and Electricity skills, with the ability to read schematics and interpret technical documentation. Candidates should possess proficient Troubleshooting skills for industrial electronic systems and components, including identifying root causes of failures. Candidates should possess solid Soldering skills, including through-hole and surface-mount rework, and safe handling of electronic components. Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for industrial equipment, including preventive maintenance and equipment restoration to OEM standards. Relevant qualifications include experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments, familiarity with VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, robotics electronics, and servo systems. Additional beneficial qualifications include an associate degree or technical certification in electronics or a related field, comfort using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers), and adherence to safety and quality standards. Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work collaboratively on-site in a fast-paced environment are important.
