Job Description
Johnson Service Group has an immediate need for traveling conveyor Field Service Technicians . (not a welding position) Can live or be home based in any state in the US, will be travel extensively. This is a direct hire full-time position Must be able to travel 100% anywhere in the US and will be gone 4-8 weeks at a time
Pay Rate :
$28 - 32/hr and time and a half for overtime hours (would consider paying a touch higher if someone has an amazing conveyor background)Per Diem :
$55 per day 7 days a week Travel time is paidWork Schedule :
5 days a week / 10-hour daysTravel :
Projects require traveling for 1-2 months at client site. After being on the road for a couple months manager tries to give employee a week at home (paid) BUT - must be on call for emergency interventions. All Flights, Hotels and rental car are paid. Provided a company credit card. Will be working at various client sites around the US. Able to pass drug and background check. Must be US citizen or "Permanent" resident - cannot get Visa approved for any reason Experience /Qualifications :
Must have 5+ years of Conveyor Field Service experience. Conveyor troubleshooting, Maintenance, Installation, Upgrades… A plus if experienced with European conveyors (tight tolerance, metrics, allen-key, Siemens PLC…) Electro-Mechanical experience; Preventative maintenance; Troubleshooting/fault finding; Quality control Some PLC experience helpful (knowledge of Siemens, PROFIBUS andPROFINET
a plus) Mechanical aptitude including the ability to read assembly drawings Mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, basic field wiring, machine calibration and system testing. No welding of conveyor parts (not looking for a Welder) Operate hand tools (screw drivers, allen-key…) and be able to assemble parts onto equipment Ability to follow set up instructions, assembly drawings and checklists Working against a timeframe to complete reactive repairs. Interact with on-site management keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progression and addressing their concerns in a professional manner. Teach contractors ownership of issues to achieve a quick time resolution. Ability to interpret and work with electrical circuit diagrams Proven track record working on your own at customer sites. Appreciate Health & Safety considerations with regard to given tasks and be able to carry out risk assessments Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers Superior communication skills Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background and Drug screen upon offer immediately Must have "valid" and current Driver's license Must be able to travel 100% anywhere in the USSimilar remote jobs
