Responsible for the mechanical design, assembly drafting, and hardware integration of data acquisition systems used in flight testing. You will collaborate closely with electrical instrumentation engineers, systems engineers, and shop mechanics to design, fabricate, and install test solutions ranging from specialized sensor mounts to complete aircraft test instrumentation racks. Key Responsibilities Design and draft 2D/3D mechanical components, assemblies, and installation layouts for flight test instrumentation.
Develop and integrate sensor hardware applications, including strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure transducers, accelerometers, displacement transducers, synchros, and microphones.
Design specialized mechanical housing and mounting structures, including aircraft test instrumentation racks.
Collaborate with electrical and systems engineering teams to design end-to-end data acquisition solutions.
Work hands-on with shop technicians and mechanics to fabricate, assemble, and install instrumentation designs on aircraft platforms.
Utilize CATIA V5 and 2D drafting software (CCD) to produce production-ready drawings and engineering documentation.
Basic Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical STEM discipline.

5+ years of experience in 3D part design, assembly design, and mechanical drawing using
CATIA V5.

D Drafting Experience:
5+ years of experience using CADAM Computer Drafting (CCD) or equivalent 2D drafting platforms.
Instrumentation Experience:
3+ years of dedicated experience designing mechanical installations for test instrumentation (e.g., strain gauges, pressure transducers, accelerometers, thermocouples).
Clearance:
