Job Description

Automation Technician - Direct Hire The Automation Technician position is located in Suwanee, GA. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a team focused on installing, troubleshooting, and programming innovative PLC-based control systems in a manufacturing environment. Shift of the
Automation Technician:
M-F 8am-5pm. Some Saturdays as needed. Pay Rate of the

$38/hr Responsibilities of the
Automation Technician:
Build, wire, and assemble industrial control panels with PLCs, power supplies, and low-voltage components. Perform point-to-point wiring of low-voltage control circuits (24VDC, 120VAC, analog signals, Ethernet). Install and terminate sensors, switches, encoders, solenoids, and other field devices. Execute light PLC programming, modifications, and troubleshooting (primarily ladder logic). Diagnose and repair electrical and control system issues on automated equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings. Perform preventive maintenance on control panels, PLCs, and other automation components. Support the installation and commissioning of new automation equipment. Qualifications of the
Automation Technician:
Associate's degree or technical diploma in a related field (Electrical Technology, Automation, Mechatronics). 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical control systems and panel building. Strong proficiency in electrical panel wiring and low-voltage terminations. Practical experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred). Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment.
