Category Technician Position Type Full-Time Remote No Overview Shermco Industries is seeking an Medium Voltage Cable Termination Technician. Responsibilities Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and, SCADA equipment

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on power, instrumentation, and control systems.

Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting of power and control systems.

Coordinate repair, testing, and installation of power and control systems.

Mechanical and Electrical installations.

Rigid, EMT, PVC coated rigid conduit.

Service, feeders, and branch circuits.

Controls, fiber, and network cabling.

Stainless tubing and instrumentation.

Service equipment, MCC, panelboards Qualifications Minimum Qualifications to qualify for consideration, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:

Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not a requirement.

Field experience in the industrial field with power and control systems.

Understanding of electrical schematics and controls.

Self motivated individual - able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines.

Hand and power tool capabilities.

Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians.

Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable and effective doing so directly to customers and co-workers.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations

Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
  • If applying for position, must be eligible to work in the U.

S. without need for employer sponsored visa (work permit).

Must be willing to travel.
