Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC machines, including lubrication, cleaning, alignment checks, and component inspections Replace consumable parts (belts, bearings, seals, filters, etc.) before failure to prevent downtime
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions on CNC machinery and support equipment Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, gauges, thermal cameras, etc.) to identify root causes of equipment issues Adjust and repair control systems, servo drives, spindles, tool changers, pallet changers and lubrication systems
Calibration and Testing :
Calibrate and align machine axes Test machines after repairs to verify correct operation
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts replaced Record downtime events and report recurring issues to engineering or management for corrective action
Collaboration:
Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance during planned downtime Communicate equipment status and repair timelines to supervisors and operators
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all company safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures while performing maintenance Ensure machines comply with safety regulations and are maintained in safe working condition
