Service Technician - Mobility Equipment Mobility City of Idaho | Meridian, ID |
Full-Time Pay:
$18-$22/hr, depending on experience, plus performance incentives
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, some Saturdays Mobility City of Idaho repairs, rents, sells, and delivers mobility equipment for seniors, veterans, and people with physical disabilities across the Treasure Valley and the entire state of Idaho. We're looking for a Service Technician with strong electrical skills and a great attitude to visit customers' homes and facilities and keep their equipment running. The scooter, power chair, or lift chair you fix is how someone gets through their day. What you'll do Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems on power scooters, power chairs, lift chairs, wheelchairs, walkers, ramps, hospital beds, and vehicle, platform, and stair lifts Troubleshoot wiring, motors, controllers, batteries, and charging systems Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and adjustments Work with vendor tech support to troubleshoot tougher repairs Deliver, assemble, and set up new equipment, including white glove deliveries Train customers on safe operation and proper care of their equipment Build repair quotes for owner approval, order parts, and track turnaround times Complete detailed work orders, keep the home store updated on progress, and let customers know about any delays Market our services to pharmacies, doctors' offices, and care facilities in the areas you work Keep the van stocked, clean, and maintained, and keep the shop and showroom organized What we're looking for Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience. Experience with 12V/24V DC systems, motors, wiring, or a multimeter is a strong plus. Mechanical aptitude and comfort using diagnostic and repair tools Background in HVAC, auto repair, industrial maintenance, electronics, or appliance repair translates well Scooter, power chair, or lift experience is a big plus, but not required Strong customer service skills and comfort working with elderly and disabled customers Organized and self-motivated, able to manage a daily route independently Professional appearance in a company uniform, and reliable, on-time attendance High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus Valid driver's license and clean driving record Willing to travel throughout Idaho for service calls and deliveries Able to lift 50+ lbs and kneel or bend for extended periods Comfortable working in homes, hospitals, clinics, and care facilities What you get $18-$22/hr, depending on experience Performance-based incentives Paid training on mobility equipment repair Company van, tools, and equipment provided Room to grow with a locally owned business that's part of a national franchise

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
