About the Role Are you seeking a stable career in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment where you can continuously develop your technical skills? As an Automation Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance of our automated systems. Leverage your expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and electrical systems to drive efficiency and minimize downtime, contributing directly to our operational success. Responsibilities Maintain and repair a variety of machinery and mechanical equipment, including electrical motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and plant support machines, ensuring minimal disruption to production. Develop and optimize PLC programs, HMI interfaces, and vision systems to enhance automation processes and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to industrial automation equipment, utilizing electrical schematics and a strong understanding of 120/208/240/480 voltage systems. Implement engineering improvements to increase MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), reducing maintenance costs and improving production uptime. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation solutions that improve safety, quality, and efficiency. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automation technology, participating in training and on-the-job learning experiences to expand your knowledge and skills. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of one year of hands-on electrical experience, gained through employment or educational training. Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, electrical schematics, and industrial automation equipment. Solid understanding of 120/208/240/480 voltage systems and industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems. Preferred Skills Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent technical certification. Experience with FANUC robots or similar industrial robotic systems. Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Servo Motors. Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
