Do you take pride in your work? Want to work with the most advanced technology? Do you have good organizational and time management skills? We are looking for in-house and 1099 technicians to complete fiber to home installations in the Chicago city area. We need tech-savvy technicians to be amongst the first to install the fiber to home technology providing the highest internet speeds to homes in Chicago. We will train you on this cutting-edge technology and provide full support to ensure your success. Job description Makes customer fiber optic drop installations (exterior and interior) complete from tap to modem in both single and multiple unit dwellings. Install and configure wireless routing product upgrades when ordered or up sold by technician. Read general drop system layouts from blueprints. This job requires you to be able to splice fiber optic cables onsite with an optical fusion splicer that we will provide training on. We supply splicing equipment for employees and have leasing/purchase options for 1099's. Climb poles with proper equipment (safety belt, safety strap and climbers), ladders or other structures as needed. Lifts and carries loads up to 75lbs (including 28 ft ladder); Work safely within limited confines, such as crawl spaces and also heights working off a ladder. Ability to work in all weather environments. Effectively and respectfully communicate with our customers, partners and other team members ensuring that we are always striving to raise the bar and exceed all expectations. Ability to analyze signal quality and complete troubleshooting/resolution of any issues that present. Use all customary CATV hand and power tools in performance of job duties. Completes appropriate paperwork functions as prescribed by system management. Close out work via handheld Smartphone >98% and score greater that 95% on post visit quality program. Generate additional company revenue through effective sales techniques and by offering information about product options, sales campaigns and promotions. Performs other duties such as clean-up and salvage of wrecked out materials; provides general assistance to other employees as directed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Strenuous - Physical effort represented by frequent handling of heavy objects (approx. 50-100 lbs.) and materials, or heavy hand tools.
