Engineering Lab Tech

Engineering Lab Tech Job&talent US The Engineering Lab Technician will manage and perform activities across all product categories to validate and test components, assemblies, and finished goods. The role also provides 3D prototyping support and oversees operation of the engineering lab. The role reports to the Senior Supervisor of Product Quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform product testing and validation to support product development and product failure analysis requests. Root cause analysis for new and returned product samples based on consumer feedback. Provide documentation for troubleshooting issues discovered during root cause analysis. Product claims testing and competitor analysis to support marketing and product management across all business categories. Create test protocols, collect test data and write up test reports. Provide rapid prototyping support for all North America business. Design and produce custom fixtures, test aids, adapters, and prototype parts using CAD. Maintain and operate multiple 3D printers in-house, ensuring uptime, calibration, and capability improvements Train others on testing processes and lab equipment use. Maintain daily function of the engineering lab, including 3D printing, equipment maintenance and calibration, and lab supply inventory control. Oversee purchasing and vendor relationships for supplies, equipment, and repairs. Submit expense reports for lab operations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's degree in engineering or equivalent with minimum of 2 years relevant technical experience required. Hands-on experience using CAD software and 3D prototyping required. Experience with product and component validation testing preferred. Good organization skills required. Strong technical writing experience and oral communication skills required.
