Job Description

Apply for tomorrow's opportunity today, with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for Test Technician in Lisle, IL As a Test Technician , you will: Create, redline, modify, and correct electrical and pneumatic schematics for automated equipment using EPLAN Electrical/Fluid and Visio software suites. Perform precision cross Sectioning of interconnects and components, including encapsulation, cutting, grinding, and polishing Conduct visual inspections at multiple magnifications using stereo and optical microscopes, including image capture and picture stitching Execute dimensional measurements and verify construction features against engineering drawings and specifications Analyze internal structures, materials interfaces, and defects to support construction and reliability assessments Accurately document test methods, observations, and results; communicate findings clearly to engineers and project stakeholders Apply critical thinking to interpret results, identify anomalies, and recommend follow up actions when needed This is a full time, Contract to hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years' work experience in a related field; OR an associate's degree and 1+ years' work experience in a related field required Working knowledge of interconnect systems, twisted pair, coaxial conductors, etc. Demonstrated experience with cross Sectioning techniques and construction analysis Proficient in reading and executing test plans and engineering drawings
Preferred Skills:
Experience performing sample preparation and cross sectioning, including encapsulation, cutting, grinding, and polishing Proficiency with dimensional and inspection measurement tools, such as calipers, drop gauges, crimp micrometers, and microscope-based measurement software Experience using laboratory and inspection equipment, including optical and stereo microscopes Troubleshooting skills of interconnect systems to aid in root cause failure analysis Experience using test plan development, data capture, or test management tools is a plus Pay rate: $30- $35 Per hour. •Pay rate offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
