Job DescriptionDetect and assess problems: resolve; debug; troubleshoot; to provide solutions to automated systems, robotic malfunctions, and reliability issuesWork independently with little to no direction to determine and implement corrective actions on equipment and processesEnsure proper safety procedures are always in use and utilized / followedPerform equipment start-ups and shutdowns, modifications, and upgrades on all automation systemsRespond in a timely manner to all issues to ensure productivity and efficiency of automated systemsProvide technical support to improve equipment operations and performanceMaintain all production equipment in good, clean, and functioning conditionApply appropriate preventative maintenance (PM) methods in planned and unplanned maintenance requestsUnderstand and analyze interactions between all components and systems: mechanical, servo, robotic, electrical, etc.

Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly fashionUnderstand the operation and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLC), as well as servo drives, vision systems, laser marking systems, etc.

Assist in implementation of new equipment and sub-assembly systemsWork cooperatively with the Manufacturing teamOther projects as assigned by managerQualificationsAssociate degree in mechatronics, factory automation, robotics or similar field or equivalent experienceMinimum three years' experience working with automated systems, mechanical, electrical and/or robotic technical maintenanceBasic PLC understanding and troubleshootingAllen Bradley Studio 5000 (preferred), or equivalent ladder logic programmingBasic robotic knowledge, understanding of functions, and programming; EPSON (preferred), FANUC, UR or similarExperience with 3D and 2D modeling systems; CREO Parametric (preferred), Solidworks, AutoCAD Inventor, AutoCADAbility to communicate with Manufacturing management, engineers, and techniciansDemonstrated technical aptitude and a strong desire for continuous improvementStrong attention to detailOther responsibilities as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Lift and move up to 40 pounds without assistanceMust have sharp hearing and ability to discern tones at various levels
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to highExposure to oil, oil odor and some sealants such as LoctiteMust be able to wear safety glasses, latex gloves and safety shoes as requiredAdditional InformationThe hourly pay range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Plus a $2 shift premium for working second shift. The standard schedule for this position is 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday- Friday.
