Job Description

Job Summary:
Inspects, services, repairs, and installs control systems and associated equipment for a variety of customers, resulting in high equipment performance and excellent customer relations.
Duties/Job Responsibilities:
Install/troubleshoot/repair pump system control panels, variable frequency drives, and associated equipment at customer sites Identify and correct malfunctioning installations and/or components using test equipment and hand tools Provide excellent customer service and insure all issues are resolved Complete detailed service and warranty reports Work as a team with your coworkers in our Service Department Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret control blueprints and schematics Ability to recognize and understand electrical symbols Previous experience with electrical wiring, preferably in a panel shop is helpful but not necessary Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other related electrical equipment Ability to work quickly, while always utilizing safe work practices Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

1 year field experience or associates degree. Control wiring and panel building a plus Experience working with high and low voltage electricity and electrical wiring components Valves and Motors a plus HVAC Powers and controls a plus Motor control Centers a plus Fire sprinkler and alarm control panels a plus Physical requirements: Ability to work quickly, while always utilizing safe work practices Ability to stand, stoop and/or kneel for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs pounds at a time
Work Environment:
  • 85% of time is spent in the field
  • 15% of time is spent in the shop and office
  • The performance of this position occasionally requires exposure to work sites where under certain circumstances the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
The employee is frequently exposed to fumes, odors, dust, oil/grease, and dirt. The employee is frequently exposed to mechanical hazards, moving objects, heights, and cramped spaces.
