Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Electronics Test Technician to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and validating complex electronic systems and assemblies to ensure they meet rigorous quality standards. Your expertise will drive the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge electronic products, ensuring reliability and performance. PCBA FCT
fixtures and test stands, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on test fixtures and test systems to ensure reliability, repeatability, and uptime. Support test system maintenance, including test PCs, instrumentation (DMMs, power supplies, switches), cabling, and interfaces. Diagnose and resolve fixture and test system related failures impacting production yield, efficiency, or throughput. Partner with Test Engineers to debug hardware and software issues related to FCT systems. Execute and document fixture verifications following maintenance, repairs, or design changes. Assist with fixture builds, modifications, and ECO implementations. Maintain accurate documentation, including PM records, repair logs, and calibration status. Work cross functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to test system failures.Required Qualifications:
Associate degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Computer System Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Functional Circuit Test (FCT) systems in a manufacturing environment; medical device experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations. Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment (including multimeters and oscilloscopes), hand tools, soldering equipment, and assembly tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate test data, identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to independently prioritize work, take ownership of issues, and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with a manufacturing environment, including lifting equipment weighing up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automated test software, such as LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar platforms. Experience working in a PCBA manufacturing environment, supporting production test, fixtures, or manufacturing processes. Basic programming or scripting exposure (Python, VB, C#, or similar) used for test support or troubleshooting Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and technical documentation. Experience working in an ISO 13485 or FDA regulated manufacturing environment.
