Job Description

Job Overview:
Performs procedures in decontamination, preparation, assembling, sterilization, storing, and distribution of medical devices and supplies for patient care. Serves customers of all ages from newborn to older adults, related to the population of individual departments. Assists in orientation and training process of new technicians. Carries out appropriate duties without immediate supervision, acts independently and accepts responsibility of contributing to the management of Sterile Processing. Makes minor decisions and refers administrative decisions, using line of authority. Achieves cross training in all areas of Sterile Processing.
Required:
Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Certification/Licnese/Experience:
CRCST preferred but not required.
