Position Overview Egglife Foods is seeking a motivated Electrical & Automation Technician to support and improve the electrical and automation systems that power our innovative food production facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the plant's electrical infrastructure, industrial automation systems, and manufacturing technologies. The technician will work hands-on with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation platforms, PLCs, industrial networks, and Ignition SCADA systems to ensure reliable, efficient plant operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation upgrades, and modern manufacturing technologies in a fast-growing food production environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical infrastructure and automation systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley Logix PLC platforms, HMIs, and plant automation equipment.
  • Support and maintain Ignition SCADA and manufacturing systems for reliable data collection and process visualization.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLCs, instrumentation, sensors, motors, drives, and industrial networks.
  • Maintain accurate electrical drawings, PLC documentation, P&IDs, and control system documentation.
  • Support production by responding to electrical or automation issues and minimizing downtime.
  • Assist with automation improvements, system upgrades, and new equipment integration.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, safety, and engineering teams to improve plant performance and reliability.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot plant power distribution systems including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and motor controls.
  • Support commissioning and startup of new equipment, automation systems, and plant expansions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and automation performance. Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience working with industrial electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, PLCs, and process control systems.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation equipment (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PowerFlex drives, etc.).
  • Understanding of industrial networking and automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Experience installing conduit, pulling wire, and supporting electrical installations. Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Ignition SCADA or modern visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Studio 5000 / Logix programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with food manufacturing equipment or regulated production environments.
  • Knowledge of MES, manufacturing IT systems, or plant data systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills.
