Electronics Technician 10600 Lackman Road, Lenexa, KS 66219 From $23 an hour - Full-time From $23 an hour - Full-time Company Overview Xtec Repair Inc has been a leader in providing reverse supply chain services to technology-focused companies since 1993. Our comprehensive support solutions are powered by an innovative, cloud-based software system, enabling seamless management of complex product support processes across diverse locations and data streams. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Electronics Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment, computer hardware and motor repair. As an Electronics Technician, you will perform soldering, troubleshoot electromechanical systems, operate test equipment, and maintain, calibrate, and prepare electronic products for shipping, ensuring quality control. The starting wage is set at $23 an hour, but is negotiable.
Responsibilities Soldering & PCB Assembly:
Solder electronic components (SMT and through-hole) onto PCBAs, repair damaged boards, and rework soldering.Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair circuit boards and electronic components using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.Electromechanical Assembly:
Assemble, wire, and install electronic components, sensors, cables, and hardware in devices.Quality Control & Testing:
Inspect solder connections, perform functional tests on assembled units, and verify performance against specifications.Technical Documentation & Support:
Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs). Document repair, assembly, and testing processes.Warehouse Maintenance:
Maintain ESD-safe (Electrostatic Discharge) workstations, manage soldering consumables (flux, solder, tips), and support shipping with final product assembly.Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in electronic assembly and soldering (SMT and through-hole).Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with electronic circuits, components, schematic reading and troubleshooting methodologies.Dexterity:
Strong manual dexterity and visual attention to detail. Typical Tools Used Soldering irons, hot air rework stations, and desoldering tools. Multimeters and oscilloscopes.
