Job Description
Overview Perform tasks associated with the testing, diagnosing, repair, and/or refurbishment of projectors. This includes disassembling and reassembling components after repairing or replacing parts along with hardware and software adjustments to factory specifications.
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions :
Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose projector hardware failures. Replace, adjust and/or repair faulty components. Conduct testing and troubleshooting functions with the assistance of information in the form of written or verbal descriptions/diagrams. Perform data input of required material. Perform work in a darkroom environment, distinguishing different color hues and shades of black and white for projector color adjustment. Perform quality inspections on all completed processes. Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals. Research and order parts required for individual repairs. Provide feedback to supervisors of any observed trends or unusual failure conditions. Other duties as assigned.Requirements :
AA/AS degree in electronics. In lieu of degree…camera, TV and/or small electronic devices repair experience a plus. Experience in troubleshooting and replacement/repair, down to the subassembly level, including but not limited to the removal and replacement of electronic components. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel. Possess good organizational, decision-making, and logical troubleshooting skills. Effective written & oral communication skills. Detail-oriented. Ability to learn new applications, programs, and processes. Must be able to lift and/or move projectors in cases with a weight of 20 lbs. to 80 lbs. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be able to accurately distinguish different color hues and shades of black & white.
