Job Purpose:

Security Technician II are responsible for all tasks associated with the successful installation and repair of Security Camera, Access Control, Network and Intrusion Systems, along with doors and door hardware. The job description listed is an overview and is not all inclusive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Install and service Security Camera, Access Control, Network, and Intrusion Detection equipment Run cabling, terminate connections, program, and test installed equipment Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair security systems and/or equipment Coordinate with customers, vendors, and contractors for successful installations Perform preventive maintenance and repair when necessary Complete service and quality assurance documentation

Job Requirements:

Must be willing and available for overtime and travel as needed Must be available to work on call, day or night shift, and occasional weekends Qualifications -

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

High School Diploma or GED Ideally would have 5-10 years' experience in the Electronic Security related fields Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record Pass a drug test and background check Strong troubleshooting skills Electro/mechanical aptitude Basic networking skills Professional, customer first demeanor Knowledge of inspection, repair, maintenance, and testing techniques for electrical, electronics, computer and network equipment and systems Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Stays current with advances in security/access control system technologies Meet physical demands of the installation process, including but not limited to: bending, crouching, climbing ladders, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., working in confined areas, operating necessary tools/equipment as the job requires

Great communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent customer relationship skills Highly proficient with use of email, spreadsheets, and ability to learn internal systems
