E&I Tech Journeyman 1241 E 2nd St, Maysville, KY 41056 Full-time Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated E&I Tech Journeyman to join our dynamic industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems across manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and continuous production flow. Responsibilities Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical instrumentation, sensors, and control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS). Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and blueprints. Conduct diagnostics on electrical systems such as high voltage and low voltage circuits, ensuring adherence to electrical safety procedures. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including pneumatic systems, hydraulic components, CNC machinery, vision inspection systems, and industrial automation controls. Use precision measuring instruments like ohmmeters and calibration tools to verify system accuracy and functionality. Read electrical schematics and schematics to troubleshoot issues efficiently; program engineering controls as needed. Support field service activities by diagnosing equipment failures, performing repairs, and ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including repair logs, calibration records, and safety reports. Requirements Proven experience as an industrial electrician or E&I technician with a strong background in industrial maintenance. Extensive knowledge of electrical troubleshooting techniques, schematics reading, and engineering troubleshooting methods. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, industrial controls, and automation systems such as Calypso or similar platforms. Familiarity with piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, electrical blueprints, and instrumentation wiring. Ability to work safely following electrical safety procedures; experience with high voltage and low voltage systems is essential. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools including ohmmeters, multimeters, calibration instruments, and vision inspection systems. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment troubleshooting and maintenance; understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex electrical issues quickly and effectively. Experience working with AutoCAD or similar engineering design software is desirable. Prior field service experience in manufacturing environments; military background is considered an asset. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members at all levels.
