Job Description

Position Summary:
The E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and electronic instrumentation. This role ensures the operational integrity of power distribution, control systems, and automated processes to minimize downtime and maximize safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems (motors, generators, switchgear) and instrumentation (transmitters, controllers, valves). Diagnose malfunctions in complex circuits and control loops using multi-meters, loop calibrators, and oscilloscopes. Install new electrical components and instrumentation according to technical drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and electrical schematics. Calibrate and verify the accuracy of pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors to ensure process optimization. Assist with the troubleshooting and basic configuration of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and DCS (Distributed Control System) hardware. Adhere to all NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70E standards, and site-specific safety protocols.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or Instrumentation preferred. 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance. Journeyman Electrician license or
NCCER E&I
certification is highly desirable.

Ability to work in a confined offshore environment in the Gulf on a rotational schedule Loud, busy, and constantly active job sites Working around other crafts (pipefitters, electricians, welders) Often elevated work — pipe racks, scaffolding, units
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs Work at heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions Standing, bending, climbing for extended periods
