This is a hands-on repair role focused on diagnosing and repairing phones, tablets, computers, game consoles, and other consumer electronics. Strong candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, comfortable learning technical processes, and motivated to grow their repair skills in a fast-paced store environment. Technical repair experience is strongly preferred, especially with iPhone and Samsung devices, but we are open to training the right candidate if they have strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured repair procedures. This role is not limited to working in the back of the store. Repair Technicians are expected to support the full store operation by communicating clearly with front-of-house staff, assisting with customer questions when needed, and helping the team maintain strong repair flow. What You'll Be Doing Your primary focus will be repair execution, diagnostics, quality control, and technical support for the store.
Responsibilities include:
Diagnosing phones, tablets, computers, game consoles, and other electronics Completing repairs accurately and efficiently Performing screen, battery, charging port, camera, speaker, and other common device repairs Testing devices before and after repair to confirm quality Documenting repair notes, diagnostic findings, parts usage, and repair outcomes accurately Supporting front-of-house staff with technical questions and repair expectations Communicating repair issues, delays, and risks clearly Handling parts properly and following inventory procedures Following OEM, warranty, and partner repair requirements Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional repair workspace Supporting customer check-ins or pickups when needed Participating in continued technical training as repair standards and devices change Compensation & Growth This position offers competitive hourly pay based on repair experience, technical ability, and training progress. Pay is negotiable based on professional repair experience and may be determined through an in-store technical assessment. Strong performance is based on repair quality, productivity, reliability, parts discipline, documentation accuracy, and teamwork. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is careful, coachable, and able to work in a team-oriented repair environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
Experience repairing phones, tablets, computers, or game consoles Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn Attention to detail with small parts, cables, screws, and device components Ability to follow repair procedures and documentation standards Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Reliability with attendance, punctuality, and schedule expectations Ability to manage repair workload and prioritize tasks Professional communication with coworkers and customers Willingness to support front-of-house and store operations when needed Interest in long-term growth within the company Ability to Commute This position is based out of our Boston, MA location. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Boston, MA. Candidates may also be asked to support nearby City District locations as needed, including:
