Role:
As a CBRE Laboratory Instrument Services Technician, you will calibrate, maintain, and complete the minor repairs of scientific instrumentation. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
What You'll Do:
Take apart, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, and take care of equipment, systems, and controls. Operate test equipment. This includes multimeters and galvanometers. Coordinate the removal of equipment needing basic repairs during scheduled maintenance periods. Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment. Responsible for locating part sources and estimating costs. Document daily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed. Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements. Assist with the development of equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
