Job Description

About the Role As a Facilities and Equipment Technician, you will serve as a critical technical resource responsible for the uptime and optimization of advanced manufacturing systems. You will leverage your expertise in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to drive operational efficiency and ensure our production environment remains at peak performance. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across mechanical, electrical, and control systems to maintain seamless production flow. Collaborate with engineering teams to qualify new equipment, debug processes, and implement modifications that enhance machine output. Manage the procurement of necessary maintenance components and serve as the primary point of contact for external service vendors. Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes of quality issues or low yields and implement effective corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of all service activities, repairs, and system updates within our CMMS platform. Fabricate or adjust mechanical components and fixtures to support evolving manufacturing requirements. Provide technical guidance and training to team members regarding equipment setup and standard operating procedures. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or vocational technical certification. Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical schematics and blueprints. Strong analytical troubleshooting skills with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems. Proven ability to work independently and take initiative on technical projects. Basic computer literacy for documentation and system monitoring. Preferred Skills Associate's degree in an engineering or technical discipline. Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing PLC-based industrial controls. Prior experience in technical writing or maintaining detailed maintenance logs. Strong aptitude for continuous improvement and process optimization.
