Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a diligent and mechanically-inclined technician to ensure the smooth operation of essential systems. In this role, you will leverage your skills in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance and compliance. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of critical infrastructure. Responsibilities Maintain and repair pumps, valves, compressors, and other mechanical equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Address system alarms promptly, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime. Conduct routine maintenance, calibrations, and equipment adjustments to optimize performance and extend equipment life. Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance, both manually and digitally. Contribute to facility upkeep, including minor repairs, painting, and grounds maintenance, to ensure a safe and presentable environment. Provide support for repairs to vehicles, structures, and plant systems, ensuring operational readiness. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's license. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using various tools and equipment. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with software applications. Ability to work effectively in diverse environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Preferred Skills Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with HVAC systems. Proficiency in equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting. Knowledge of machine safety inspections. Licensing Requirement Commitment to obtaining a MA Grade 4 Wastewater Operator License within one year. Commitment to obtaining a Grade 5 License within two years of achieving Grade 4.
